Normally, I’d agree.  But if Boone assesses that the Pirates are on the verge of winning in the next couple of years because of the influx of good young players, he might be willing to come here and ride that wave.  And then get out when those guys leave as they near free agency because he knows, like we do, that Nutting won’t keep them.

Andujar currently has no hits in his last ten at bats, but since coming to Pittsburgh he has 5 rbi. Possibly he, Cruz and Reynolds could each drive in 75 to 100 rbi next season. If they would add a first baseman with some power that could be an interesting lineup along with players like Castro, Bae, Hayes, and Suwinski.

that is for sure, this year's team couldn't get hits and doesn't walk much either. Not a good combination.

Here's an idea, let's sign Josh Bell, Jameson Taillon, and Andrew McCutcheon.
