Roster cuts are due today, teams have to get down to 26 players, and can carry 14 pitchers.

Pirates have 15 pitchers, it would seem one of Howard, Hembree, or Fletcher will get axed. My vote is on Fletcher (not who I want to see, be happy if all three were gone).

There's a handful of position players I'd love seen gone, but I'm going out on a limb here and say they option Castillo or Suwinski back to the minors, leaving Tucker, VanMeter, Tsutsugo on the roster.

They may end up cutting 2 pitchers because Banda is about due to come of the IL sick list. I would like to see them cut ties with Tucker as well, but I don’t think that will happen. If they would dfa Howard, Fletcher and Tucker that would open 3 roster spots for some of the players like Mason Martin and Cal Mitchell.

They also optioned Fletcher, they're at 25 right now. As someone pointed out somewhere, Banda will be coming off the IL, and that will make it 26

Color me surprised they are going 13/13. Some of them boys better start hitting.

Okay, not so surprised. Off day today, off day on Thursday. They could get by with 12 pitchers even the way they use them with that kind of schedule.

They have the doubleheader in Cincy on Saturday.

The Pirates last 20 game winner was John Smiley in 1991. Doubt if we will ever see another one- Hell, 10 would be nice :D

2019 with Houston was his best year.
