Velasquez injury didn't look good. Probably UCL and TJ surgery. That's three pitchers now. Pitching depth is pretty much down to Ortiz, Priester, maybe Bido, and pray for rain.
IMHO, this is potentially the biggest loss to come out of this series. I can live with the sweep. It happens, and I didn't think the Pirates looked completely overmatched. The Rays were the better team, no doubt, but the Bucs can compete with them. And, they're still on pace to win 100 games.
Hopefully, getting back home will right things.

I was there last year and didn't see anything wrong from the fans' perspective. The criticism may be more about how difficult it is to see fly balls against the white dome and how the ball bounces off the turf.
The dome and turf are player issues....I just wonder what the issue is why they don't draw better.
I think it's a lack of interest, not anything to do with the ballpark. A lot of retired people and a lot of other things to do in great weather for both older and younger people in the Tampa area.

I’m not going to get upset over losing three games to baseball’s best team at their home park in early May. How the team bounces back from this over the next week is more important.

Santana has been a real nice signing so far.

The entire NL Central is in a slump. Everyone but the Reds, who were idle today, lost once again.
Pirates get swept, don't give up any ground.

Yep still in pretty good shape overall with decent leads over the Cubs, Reds, and Cards and still 1.5 games up on the Brewers. Hopefully they can bounce back at home this weekend against Toronto.

Losing 4 straight hurts after that great start. I golf with Phillie fans and they reminded me they lost 7-8 straight last season and played in the WS.
Still hurts but look forward to see how we fair against a decent Blue Jay team.

1992 Pirates after starting 23-10, lost 11 of 22 and were 24-21 at one point. They won 96 and the division.
Anxiously awaiting word on Velasquez…my guess is torn UCL and TJ surgery. Hope I’m wrong…
