Possum wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 12:32 am Big bruhaa in bottom of 7th after Lopez almost beaned Cutch. It resulted in a WP so Bucs have runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs and Cutch still at bat.
Was it intentional? Did McCutchen go towards Lopez?
Nothing was going on until Lopez started jawing at the Pirates. Then the whole dugout confronted him.
Any fists thrown or was it the typical baseball fight? Sounds like you’re right, it was retaliation for DeJong last night. Odd time to do it when the score was 2-0 with runners on base late in the game.

Maybe the benches clearing will ignite some passion and winning baseball.

No punches thrown. Lots of standing around except Nats bench coach who was yelling and pointing.

Nats get a run on a sac fly but that’s it. Bucs win 6-1. Life feels a little bit better again until first pitch tomorrow.

Outstanding game by Falter. And he gave a lot of credit to Davis for game plan/pitch calling. Davis also homered and threw out a runner.

While Triolo will probably never hit for average, he is one
player who can play multiple positions and play them well.
That's why he won that award last year. He is a steadying
influence out here. Not showy but gets the job done. I like
the guy
