Cruz hits the pitcher, it deflects to short, who throws to first and pulls him off the bag. They said it was only 83 mph, but it sure didn't sound or look like it was that soft, and the pitcher is coming out, as it hit him on the throwing arm.

1-2-3 for Santana. He gave up runs Aug 2-3 and 6th. He has 10 appearances in a row without being scored upon, after those three games at the beginning of the month. He was scored upon only one time in July. He's really turned it around since June, when he was really bad, and had an ERA of 7.76 on June 15th.
