Too little too late. At least I watched the Giants broadcast so I didn’t have to suffer with Joe Block.

The pitching staff did their part. Just one bad inning for Jones. As usual,
the hitters didn't get it done. This is happening much too often. No consistency-
On the day that Tellez finally hits, Cruz goes back to his own ways. Reynolds goes 0-5
Friday. Good game yesterday, today nothing. Davis- feel for him but he has to be sent
down to figure it out.

Just like last season, and the season before that, and the season before that, and the....well you catch my drift. A team that strikes out this much must be able to put the ball over the fence. There will never be any form of consistent offense if they either turn into on base machines or start featuring a lineup of 5 or 6 guys hitting 20-30 home runs. You can't play punch and Judy baseball getting punched out all of the time.

There is no one right now that any team or pitcher is afraid of on the Pirates.

I guess losing games 3-2 and 4-1 is better than losing 10-2 and 15-3 like in recent years!

I just read that in the last 6 games the Pirates starting pitchers have a 1.67 E.R.A
Definitely makes the lack of hitting that much more frustrating

Whatever they’re teaching the hitters in the minor-league system, it doesn’t work. Then they bring in free agents like Tellez and Taylor, who are known to be weak hitters. Which makes no sense. It seems like they need a new philosophy, both at the major and minor-league levels.
