anyone know how many times a Bucs ghostrunner has scored this year? I know it is less than the opposition at this point.

Just a comment about the Homestead Grays uniforms the Pirates wore yesterday: I really like them. They're very classic looking, very simple and understated. The blue color against the white shirt is really sharp.

Just counting ghost runners, the Pirates have scored 6 and the opposition has scored 8. But there were 4 times when the opposition scored more than just the ghost runner compared to twice for the Pirates. There was 1 time when both teams scored their ghost runner in the 10th and the opposition did it again in the 11th after the Pirates failed to do so.

In the 6 games in which the Pirates' ghost runner scored, the other team scored more and won 4 of those 6 games.

The Pirates are 2-7 in extra-inning games. In those 9 games, the Pirates scored only the ghost runner 4 times, scored more than just the ghost runner twice and didn't score in extra innings 3 times. In those games, the opposition scored only the ghost runner 3 times, scored more than just the ghost runner 4 times and didn't score in extra innings twice.

Short Comment on Yesterday's Game. The Pirates used 7 pitchers in the game, only one of which, Hernandez, was on the opening day roster. And, at the time, he likely was mostly on the roster because of his Rule V status rather than his past or anticipated pitching performance.
