Something To Think About

People were ripping on Moran's Spring Training when he batted .325? That happened. If any of those guys struggle in the Cole or McCutchen trade, you will see it.

I do think there are people out there that want certain players to fail so they can be right and "told you so" because they don't like the Pirates management. Daniel Moskos got boo-ed almost every night in the minors. So, it has happened and will happen again.

There is no difference in people thinking certain players are being defended because they support management as there is people thinking the opposite because they don't like the management team.

On Musgrove, he deserves the same chance as some other guys. He had a fine minor league career and some success in the majors. When he is healthy, I expect him to start. The Pirates brought him in to be a starter. I just don't think they will go away from that plan just yet.

Are you knocking Musgrove because you didn't like the Cole trade? That's what it looks like.

It's a good battle. Hopefully, the competition with all the young pitchers will bring out the best going forward. Someone has to make the team and play. That's why it takes years for guys to make it and are scouted and every stat is looked at past and present.

Glasnow pitched well in the minors genius.  Does that translate into success in the majors?  Nope.  I don't think Musgrove is that good. He is no different than Kuhl or Williams to me, another 4/5 starter.  I'm not knocking him because of the Cole deal. He should be in the pen. He is better than anyone save Rivero and that isn't a big complement.

Genius! Ha ha. Pirates lose a game and you start quoting my posts. Odd. Didn't see that coming??

By the way, I never said Glasnow was successful in the majors. He is in the bullpen for a reason. He is following the path Musgrove took with the Astros, which I pointed out.

Right.  And clearly that's priority #1 for you.   You've got to defend Neal against those possible attacks now and down the road.  That's your job... You want Musgrove in the rotation so you can defend the Cole trade.  It doesn't have anything to do with who earned what, or who is best, or even what may be best for the team and the player himself. I'd say I'm glad you cleared that up, but like I had pointed out everyone who pays attention knows your routine and what you were doing already, so I guess we are back to square one.
