I'm OK with Polanco.   He's doing OK overall and while back in a slump now, it's not been that big of one this time.     His walk rate is much improved over prior years, as is his HR rate. 



So I take it back, leave him where he is.  His defense is playing worse than ever on paper, but who knows where he will end up.     The best news so far is where he hasn't ended up, and that's the DL. So cross fingers there.



Both he and Cervelli have avoided the DL and it's almost memorial Day. So good for them there.

Cervelli is in a slump too.



He was batting .279 and then skyrocketed his average up to .314 in six games. Now, he is back to .278. That stretch of six games included the Washington series and didn't even help the Pirates win.

With the way they shift Polanco, I wish he'd choke up and just chop one toward third, especially if the bases are empty.  Might get him some hits and might get them to stop shifting him.
