6/22 game thread

Diaz is 12th on the team in number of innings played but tied for 3rd for most errors. Seems to have a real problem when making a quick throw.

Strange. I remember all the glowing reports on blogosphere about his defense. We've been down this road several times before.

The Pirates really need to win these final 2 games of this series with Arizona this weekend. If they start slipping anywhere from 5-10 games under .500 which they are very close to doing right now they won’t be able to dig themselves out of that hole. These next 8 games are a chance for the Pirates to get back on track with these last two games with Arizona followed by 6 games with the Mets and Padres on the road two teams below you in the standings. Time is running out for this team I feel so they better start winning more consistently very soon if they want to remain relevant come July. The Pirates were 26-17 after 43 games 5 weeks ago. We are now 75 games in 5 weeks and 32 games later and the Pirates are 10-22 since. That stinks and is not good enough and needs to get better and it needs to get better real soon or this season is over.
