This is a really good point. Pretty much every guy in the bullpen has had to pitch with only a 1 or 2 run lead. That makes the margin of error nonexistent. And, it makes one mistake game changing. If the Pirates were up 5-2 the other night and Kela gave up a HR, no one would be too worried and he would have gotten a solid Hold (cause Holds and saves are really important). I think the circumstances are making exacerbating these problems.

I agree. Because of the lack of hitting, any mistake by a reliever seems crucial. A reliever holding a 5-1 lead in the 8th and gives a 2-run HR doesn't draw too much scorn. But our pitchers rarely have margin for error. The Pirates are averaging 3.7 runs per game. Of the Pirates' 10 wins, 7 have involved a save and two were won by 1 run in the last inning. The margin of victory has been greater than 3 runs only once. The less you hit, the better you have to pitch. Any time the Bucs don't get perfection from a reliever, it's trouble.
