Possum, State College it is. I was really disappointed when the Pirate franchise moved to WVa. Looking forward now to August when the Black Bears visit. And no one, not even myself, believed me when I said the Black Bears wouldn't make those mistakes. :)

Your loss but my gain for sure. Cards or Bucs you will still see some decent kids sometimes and when the Black Bears are in town you can root for them. Need to get you a Black Bears hat!

only Oakland, Miami and Tampa Bay are averaging less.

The Bucs are close to the ChiSox who average 18,205

Nice crowd last night for Mets game, but I thought they might get 30,000 for a Friday night game. I wonder if they will get 30,000 or better for fireworks night tonight. I believe their best crowd of the season was the Friday night game in May whenever McCutchen returned. Even on Opening Day they drew a little over 30,000. It has been a tough year for their attendance.

It takes a pretty big increase to move attendance significantly after this many games.

Total now is 974,261 after 53 for an average of 18,382.

The Bucs have passed the ChiSox who now average 18,253

A crowd of 35,900 tonight. Good to see the Pirate fans come out to enjoy this run of good games.

Current Attendance (after Thursday's 21,783 crowd) is

1,171887 and the average is 19,211.

26th in baseball. The White Sox average 19,014 so there is a chance they could pass the Bucs.

Pirates have 14 home games left. Current attendance is

1,299,542.

Avg per game: 19,396

Still 26th in majors.

Pirates averaged 23,696 last year and total attendance was

1,919,447

so this year's attendance is going to be down over 300,000.

White Sox attendance is 1,225,778 avg per game of 19,152

If Bucs can beat out ChiSox for attendance this season I will count that as a small victory.

I doubt the attendance spikes up at all with the team out of contention now in September. It will either stay around 19,000 or drop below. Overall this has been another dissspointing year for the Pirates and changes absolutely need to be made and they probably won’t be because this management team from the owner all the way down to Hurdle sucks.
