On the morning after, I am reminded that the Pirates just had a no-hitter thrown against us only hours ago.  Just sayin'.

What the Pirates are doing- and, those reponsible for "doing" it- has worked so well for us.  I think all 29 other clubs should do it, too.

We have sucked like no other team in United States major professional sports has sucked before.  We've lived through 20 straight losing seasons and haven't won a division title, let alone anything else, in decades.

Time to do something better, I would say. Suspects don't cut it. Never have. Never will.

Here's what's now circulating in "trade rumors." From Mark Fiensand...

According to an NL executive, Pirates GM Ben Cherington is “trying to sell everything” in his first year at the helm as he attempts to remake Pittsburgh’s roster.

Those three wins must have scared the heck out of him.

Sure appears that Kela won’t be traded since he hasn’t thrown a baseball since Friday. Time is running out for teams to determine if he is healthy.

MLB Trade Rumors said this today:

Pirates righty Keone Kela exited last Friday’s relief outing due to forearm tightness, and the right-hander still hasn’t thrown since that departure, director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk tells reporters (Twitter links via MLB.com’s Adam Berry and The Athletic’s Rob Biertempfel). As for righty Joe Musgrove, who is out with triceps inflammation, he’s set to pitch in a simulated game in the next couple of days.

I question whether the Pirates will even want to bring him back next season.

They would never , ever give him a qualifying offer. So odds are really remote he would be a Pirate next year. They would sell him for a Hamburg and a coke if they had a taker . JMO

I think the odds are that he won't pitch another game for the Pirates.

T Walker just traded to Toronto. Probably puts an end to the Kuhl or Williams rumors.
