It’s probably for the best. If he came back, he’d probably break his face.

I think we are all in agreement as to why Williams is playing and
Gonzales who is doing exceptionally good in Indy hasn't been brought back.
The only thing I can think of is they are showcasing him and hoping he does well
enough to draw some attention. As yet, that hasn't happened. Assuming Cruz plays SS
the bucs are loaded with infielders. Cherington might be planning on unloading some
of them in an off season deal.

I think the only way Gonzales will have much trade value is if he gets recalled and performs well at the MLB level. Keeping him in the minors won't do that after he performed poorly at the MLB level. He's hit .302 for Indy since being sent down. That should have earned him another chance to show what he can do in MLB. Otherwise, he might be just a throw-in in an offseason trade if a team wants to take a flier on him after being demoted with a .216 BA.

Capra demoted to AAA, Davis reinstated!!!!

Cole vs Oviedo tonight. I hope Oviedo can be just a touch more "impressive" than his 3.2 IP outing Joe Block was so raving about!
