I would hope that when Newman returns VanMeter will be gone. However it could be Castillo because Shelton loves to go lefty- righty.

I would hope that when Newman returns VanMeter will be gone. However it could be Castillo because Shelton loves to go lefty- righty.
When Newman returns he must be reinstated from the 60 day IL, so a move will have to happen on the 40 man roster. So VanMeter could be the odd man out.

So where do all these young up/down AAA/Pirates players live ? Does the team pay for a hotel? And you get docked for it later .







Has anyone made a Documentary on a Baseball player on his way up . Followed and filmed for years etc ? Man, I want to see that.

I would expect Newman will play in order for other teams to get a look at him, and it’s likely to be at 2nd base because Cruz needs to play everyday. How can VanMeter continue to stay on the roster under that circumstance? It’s like he’s in a rubber knife fight: he can’t be cut.
