Cahill- I see where Cahill is the overall leader and I am sure he will continue to add to his total

I see that Tom is in LF again today. I hope this little league tryout doesn't last much longer.

________
After Alford, Fowler, Difo, and now Tom, I don't thin that Cherington's judge of talent is very good.

You don't get star players by dumpster diving. BC picked those guys up off the scrap heap to see if they could help. Difo didn't make the team in ST, Alford was released after 2 weeks, and Fowler was released after 3 weeks. So I guess you could say Cherington is a good enough judge of talent that he knows it when he doesn't see it. Given their shoestring budget, I don't have a problem with talking a flier on players as long as they don't get to hang around if they appear to be useless. I don't think Tom will be around very long either.

GOG: Polanco.
Mishandled a ball for an error, misplayed a ball off the wall and was the only Pirate to go 0 for 4.
