It is only a week into games, but so far this season has a different feel about it. Some timely hitting, good relief pitching, and very good defense.

Yep the offense has been pretty good these last 3 games they have won and the pitching has at least kept them in a lot of these games so far both starting and bullpen. For this team to be .500 after 6 games is pretty good. Still doesn’t change the fact that I want more younger guys in there. Contreras looked great in the 3 innings he pitched with his 5 K’s and needs to be thrown into the starting rotation sooner rather than later, and I want Cruz up here ASAP as soon as the 16 game thing for his extra year of free agency is up, and want a guy like Michael Chavis playing somewhere everyday over guys like Tucker,Park or even Yoshi at 1st base.

Way early for sure but so far they have given reason to think things could be different.

They started pretty good in April last year as well after 20 plus games and look what happened. It’s way too early to say it’s a different feel with this team so far. You can’t really make a statement like that after 6 games. Now it’s been a nice little stretch here of 3 wins in 4 games for sure but I still wanna continue to see the younger guys on this roster play everyday and I want them to call these guys up in the Minors and play them everyday when they do. If they do those things consistently then I will change my mind a little bit about things maybe being different.

We call Champs "Otis" for a reason. Up, down, left, right, in, out- often, multiple times on the same day.
