No need to talk about the game no does in these threads. It's the initial batch about the lineup, how they aren't trying to win, and complaining about the announcers.

Contreras strikes out 5 of 9 outs. Looks like a keeper.

Too bad they don't seem to want to make him a starter.

Because he's being developed at the major league level. For every stud that a team just threw to the wolves and succeeded there are probably 20 more who get eaten by the wolves

Regarding Brubaker and Keller being no good ... ALL OF OUR STARTERS are no good.

Pirates management is actually willing to enter a season with a plan to go 162 consecutive starts with pitchers who have no business being major league starters.

That business model is idiotic and not sustainable -- at all -- no matter how much the club may have improved in other areas.

People can't see the results. Our starters no good? You wouldn't be referring to Reynolds and Tucker last night or Newman tonight? Got a young staff. Reynolds Tucker and Newman have to catch and throw the ball.

A guy has a good game, so he's good.  HTG, how does one respond to that?

Since Day 1, our WP is maybe less than .370.  I can check that later today.  Let that sink in.  .370.  That's the result.

It's worse than Littlefield.  It's worse than the other guy.  It's old.

It's sports.  People are not patient.  That's not just Pittsburgh.  It's everywhere.

"Being developed at the MLB level" is bullshit. That's what minor leagues are for. So, now, the Pirates are minor league.

By "starters," he may have meant SP, not "starting position players."

Brubaker lowered his ERA to 7.30. So now they only have 2 SPs with ERAs of 9+.
