No, the Cubs starting a lefty will.
I hope not. For his career, Gamel has hit LHPs better than RHPs. Especially if Gamel sits and Tucker starts with his career .197 BA as a RH batter vs LHPs.

Good win overall and another comeback win and great performance by the bullpen which has been very good so far through 13 games. Don’t want to get too excited because this team had a good April last year as well and then fell apart in early May but they have at least hung in there so far these first two plus weeks into the season and at least have kept fans interests so far and aren’t buried in the standings just yet like a team such as the Reds who are 2-11 and have lost 9 in a row.

The starters are going to need to regularly pitch more than 3 and 4 innings and not getting shellacked if there is any hope of this team remaining competitive. The team really lacks the offense to regularly score more than 4 runs, and there are only so many times that the bullpen can do what it did last night.

Pirate pitchers also have yet to face some of the higher scoring teams.

Nonetheless, being 6-7 after 13 games is better than any of us really could have expected with the state of the starting rotation.
