Mitchell is wearing Harvey Haddix's old number and now has 1 fewer career HRs than Haddix. (Not much else to say about this game.)

Harvey Haddix had a career BA of .212. That's better than VanMeter and Yoshi.

Vern Law had a .216 career BA. Maybe he could be hired as a personal batting coach for VanMeter and Yoshi, who could only dream of a career BA that high.

HBP and a walk to start the bottom of the 8th, of course the constant reminders of the great comeback down 8-2 with the Giles grand slam being the game winner

A fly out to center, a strike out, a fly out to left

Hayes pulls up to avoid the tarp and misses a foul pop. KY had this comment, "hmmmmmmmmmmmmm."
