When is the date that teams have to reduce their rosters back to 25 Players? That will really affect the Pitching staff

It's a 26 man roster after May 29th

Indy is playing a day game today, Cruz is in the lineup, but Castro is not playing. I wonder if he is coming to Pittsburgh to replace Newman who left last night's game with a muscle strain.

According to Jason Mackey, Brian Reynolds will be active for tonight’s game, but Kevin Newman is going on the IL with groin strain. He could be out 3 to 5 weeks.

FWIW, Alford is back at Indy after clearing waivers. No longer on the 40. I hope he doesn't take PT away from OF prospects.

Tucker was reinstated, Marcano sent down to Altoona. I love this quote: "Right now, it's not a good situation for him to be here and sit," said manager Derek Shelton. "He needs to play."

And who had control of that Derek?

SMH. Marcano gets recalled with Suwinski who plays every day while Marcano sits and watches the legendary VanMeter play every day. Golly, if only there had been some way to get Marcano into games. But it was just not humanly possible. :-/

The VanMeter defense actually looks pretty legendary at times, but I do agree. Marciano should have played.
