The saying goes, "don't make the 1st or 3rd out at 3B." The Pirates have checked both those boxes tonight. The stupidity level tonight is staggering.

The baserunning stupidity must be contagious. Chapman caught it.

Yes, but for one brief shining moment, he retires the side without anymore damage. Sometimes, odd things happen.

Joe or Hayes could DH instead of Mathias. Makes no sense
Late inning defense if they had a lead.

What's starting to worry me now is the "hat tipping". I don't care who you're facing, no one is "unbeatable".
I think I recall hearing that excuse quite a bit the last couple years.
Bucs need to snap out of it. They are resembling exactly what they looked like in Spring Training, and that isn't a good thing.
I'll really be worried if they start using the injury excuse next.
I'm glad someone else feels the same as I do about Bae. Fun to watch on the bases. And that's about the extent of his contributions. He's been horrible defensively.
I hope they stick with Marcano at short. Castro and Bae should platoon at second.
As one of Oneil Cruz's biggest fans, I'd like to ask, are you guys missing him now?
