Pathetic. It was the right call from Rabelo to hold Castro at third. But just a pathetic display from this team right now. It wouldn't hurt so much if they hadn't started out so hot. This is who most of us thought they were.

I hope you did not take Mr.Man to this one. He would be pissed. ;D
Yes, Mister Man had to miss school with a headache
. He made $30 today for helping clean at the VFW before we headed out to the game.

Hill gets the first star, but Reynolds not tagging up right as the ball was hit isn't far behind.
Should I also mention Santana and Suwinski? Cutch on base 4-4 today, and neither of them did much of anything, other than the one walk Santana managed.
How about Connor Joe and striking out looking for the first out when the bases were loaded?

No, Castro had just reached third when the SS had the ball, he was dead meat even if I were throwing the ball. Shame that ball didn't get to the wall.
It looked to me like Palacios didn't get a single strike thrown to him, but that was from watching from the concourse. Was he thrown one change up after another?

Unbelievable that the Pirates will wake up on May 11th still in first place. Milwaukee loses again.
Not bad to only lose one game to the second place team after a 1-9 stretch.

Pirates have had 4 off days (not counting the rain out day, that wasn't scheduled) since the first game of the season. They'll be off three of the next eight days. I'm guessing this is why they went with the 12 man pitching staff, as Keller gave the pen a night off.

Good for him. Glad you are teaching him a positive work ethic

Since you were there Surg, I would like your honest
impression of Hill.He has looked decent in previous games but
this is my take on him. After the first time thru the lineup, a good
patient hitter can adjust to his curve ball. When the Pirates picked
him up I wasn't overly enthused. I think you remember Jamie
Moyer who pitched well into his 40's. Toward the end of his career,
his fastball wouldn't make you blink if it hit you between the eyes.
Hill reminds me a lot of Moyer. If we can get 4-5 decent innings out of him, we should be thankful.
