Earlier today, Bob Nutting said that it may be an opportune time to add to the roster because of the club’s position in the Wildcard standings. And in the next breath he killed all hope by mentioning that it would have to be done within the confines of the payroll. So no, there won’t be any help coming.

Rest assured Cherington will scour the DFA lists to acquire players. He will leave no waiver wire unturned.

Rays plate a third run, who reached on a walk. It’s amazing how other teams make that happen while it’s a foreign concept to us.
