Would have liked the big inning, but at least the Pirates don't waste a leadoff double. Since calling up Gonzales, it seems they are doing a lot better getting in a run or two when people get walks, doubles, on base on errors, etc.

Gonzo 23 RBI already.

Apple TV announcer way too pre-scripted. I saw the replay on Cruz HR, and before the ball landed he claims it's in the river for the second night in a row, and even keeps saying it got wet during the replay which clearly showed the ball bouncing around in the right field grandstand.

Just call the game, don't try and make it a reality show. It's disingenuous. It's prescripted for you trying to make a call, and Cruz helped out by giving a HR.

Twins load the bases with one out but Keller strikes out the next two to get out of it. He has eight punch outs so far. Bucs hold onto their 2-0 lead midway through five.

Bases loaded, two outs, 3-2 count. Keller throws a ball that defies physics, the break was so insane it started on the out half of the plate to the LH hitter, and broke so far in on the batter that it actually hit him in the thigh as he swung and missed.

I am guessing that guy is going to take a hounding from his teammates on that one.

Bucs go meekly in the fifth. Not sure anyone else has noticed but Connor Joe has been struggling bigly over the past seven games, managing just three hits. Still 2-0 Bucs.

Keller pitches out of trouble again thanks to the Gregory Polanco-like baserunning by Byron Buxton as he singles and gets himself thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double. Still 2-0 Bucs. Keller at 99 pitches. The game likely in the hands of the bullpen for the final three innings.

Pirates go in order in the 6th. Score remains 2-0 good guys. Chapman on in relief.

The Chapman of old on the mound tonight as he strikes out two and throws a handful of pitches over 100 mph. He threw just 11 pitches, nine for strikes. If he can keep that up for the next six weeks we might get a nice player back in a trade. 2-0 Bucs in the 7th.

Bucs go down one, two, three in the 7th. Still 2-0 Pirates. Holderman on to the handle the 8th.

Holderman tosses 13 pitches to get his three outs in the 8th. Bucs still lead 2-0. Guessing we see Bednar in the 9th.

Ryan removed in favor of Jax. He pitched well enough to win.
