Put this POS Heller back in the dumpster where you found him. Why did Shelton put this unknown in a tied game.
Way to screw up a great comeback

this Nick Gonzales might be a hitter.
Gonzales has 22 RBI's since being brought up
Cruz has 20 RBI's since May 30th.
That's all I have to say about that.
In my opinion Cruz has been very disappointing so far this season.

That should be March 30th for Cruz. The excuse about missing last season doesn't apply anymore

With all the middle infield depth in the Pirates System, I could see them putting him on the trading block this offseason if he struggles the remainder of this season. Why not test the trade waters to see if the Pirates can find a first baseman or outfielder.

I think it is too early to give up on Cruz, it should take an overwhelming offer to get him.

Heller was the difference tonight. Hopefully just a bad outing on his part

It's easy to be frustrated with Cruz's bat so far this season as I think we've all expected more, but it's far too early to give up on him. So many great players struggled in their first year or so and then found their way. His talent is too great offensively, and he brings a power bat the whole organization lacks. Now, moving him off of shortstop is certainly up for discussion but that's not a reason to seek trade opportunities. He can be moved to first base or right field and probably be fine, or even to the DH position if he fails in those spots.
He seems like an odd personality. Last night, he clobbered that home run and there was no indication of joy or success. He was totally emotionless, and like he wanted no attention. He doesn't have to flip his bat or pound his chest but, at the same time, it's okay to at least smile. It was a big hit. And yet, at the same time, he was wearing specially made cleats that screamed out, "Look at me!" He's an enigma.

I am getting a little tired of hearing about how hard and how far he hits the ball. One time every 25 at bats doesn't help Need more consistency.

Cruz is an odd duck. Some on the side he'll improve. I am not on that side. He may have talent but he doesn't seem to have baseball smarts.
