is this just a rest day for Hayes? So he can play a day game tomorrow? Or a chance to get Capra into the lineup (that can't be a reason can it?)

I think they just want to give Hayes frequent rest because of his back issues.

Contreras just had enough of the bad B/S calls. Good thing he didn't see the atrocious Laz Dias on Sunday.

Words I thought I’d never say:

1. Yes, I’ll have some Brussels sprouts.
2. Why don’t we vacation in Russia this year?
3. The Pirates beat Adam Wainwright!

Just noticed that Connor Joe, and Reynolds are tied for the team lead in doubles. Joe has had a nice season so far this year.

I've gotta say that the tv at our Motel 6 sure as hell worked fine. Things got a little testy in the middle innings when Moreta kind of lost it. But the BP hung in there. It was nail-biting time for me when Bednar came in for the ninth inning. Of course, he put the game away. Holderman and Bednar remind me of the great set-up and closer team of the mid-teen teams.
