We have heard several times that the baseball draft is a crap shoot. Some projected players never pan out, while a player drafted in a later round makes the Big Leagues. At this time we all hope that Paul Skenes is the real deal. Two players who were chosen after Skenes are showing promise early in their careers. The two are Mitch Jebb, and Charles MacAdoo. Both players are in the low minors, but they have each had some games which have been impressive. Maybe the Pirates scouts have found a couple players which other teams may have overlooked.
