Seems like a good hitting lineup. Even the bottom third can be productive.




I don't like Freese in the middle of the order at all vs RHP.   He's a dead bat and double play machine.   Kang makes this lineup deadly.   In lieu of Kang, I hope Bell finds it quickly and switches with Freese vs RHP. 



Freese was .710 OPS .377 Slugging with 14 GDP last year vs RHP.    You can't have that at #5 without hurting the lineup.  That's a shortstop

I thought Id catch the end of the game on the radio when I got off here at about 4, but at this rate maybe not.

Cole blows up in the 5th. Two outs and no one on; 5 straight hits including a 3 run HR equals 5 runs.



An error by Bell and man on 2nd.

Cole has to limit damage there. Can't let it get out of hand like that and give up 5 runs. If Cole is going to be an ace and continue to improve things like that just cannot happen.

Good start for Cutch today as well. Three pretty bad looking at-bats and two strikeouts so far. Don't want to go crazy over 1 game so far but if Cutch continues to have games like this in April the Pirates are going to lose a lot more then they win.

I know it's only three at bats but Andrew swing looks like last year not good
