Obviously it's very early and the weather has been very cold. I guess that could easily pull down offensive numbers (re: Luplow). Contact rates however, not so much. Kramer's strikeout rates caught me off-guard last night when I saw them. They were also extremely, crazy high in the fall league.

Unfortunately and as tends to happen, AA pitching is eating up some of the lower minor prospects rated so highly by many.   



Jason Martin hitting very well, though he already succeeded at the AA level last year.     At 22, and having succeeded in AA last year, hopefully he's in indy sooner rather than later.   + here.  interesting stat sheet on this guy.  What do we have here?



21 yr old Hayes is really struggling    Sub .300 slugging with a terrible walk rate.   I hope they let him stay in AA for a few years until he matures as a hitter. or send him back to A+ until he learns to drive the ball.   He wasn't a good hitter there last year and the promotion to AA was curious to me.   Perhaps with Moran and Kang in the org again, he can be slowed down considerably until he knows how to hit. My personal interest in Hayes is very low.  He's far away if ever going to make it as a ML starter. 



Tucker is hitting OK.   Mired in a slump right now.   Need to see .800+ OPS out of him this year at AA. 



There are no other hitters in Altoona.  Will Craig is a busted pick. 

Meadows and Kramer both turning things around in Indy. I'd like both to see some ML at bats this season.

Yes. Last 10: 41AB, 2HR, 4BB, 9K, .341 There's the bat.



Hopefully Meadows keeps hitting and stays healthy. If Polanco doesn't turn around significantly, he should be out and Meadows called up to start.

Maybe we can add another too the "getting hot" list.



Jordan Luplow had a frigid April. But he is having a good morning in Toledo: he hit a three-run homer in his first at bat, and followed with a two-run homer his next time up.
