It's interesting the margin between "we looked pretty good!" and " typical pirates!" That margin was about a foot. (Vottos would be double down left w/ Hamilton on 2nd)

The Pirates were also gifted a run when Gennett threw to 1B on the DP instead of throwing home where Moran would have been out by 20 feet. It's a W but other than the BP and one 2-run rally, I don't think the Pirates looked too impressive.

Polanco hit the ball hard a couple times but got nothing to show for it. Down to .201.

Pirates are still carrying Stallings. They can't bring back Frazier or Kingham until Wednesday (10 days since they were optioned). But they could at least bring up Osuna or Moroff for the bench in the meantime. NH's roster management is, as usual, curious.
