He can stand in the next county for all I care. If the swing stays that long it won't matter.

You brought up hitting the inside pitch. Wouldn't this help? Was his double the other day an inside pitch he turned on?

No it won't help in the least. The swing is still too long. It doesn't matter if he stands further away.

Bonds keys to hitting .

#1 Keep your hands up.

#2 Keep everything short with balance.

Simple. But so hard to do.The best hitters are the ones with little movement . Altuve , Trout just barrel it up all season long.

Altuve has that wiggle of bat when getting ready . More like Sheffield than Bonds . But the body is ready to tourqe power very little front foot step .

I think Polanco made his debut four years ago today.

Remembering the hype from then I wonder how many fans expected he'd be a lifetime .247 hitter with a .314 OBP and .716 OPS.

Just for comparison the guy he replaced who most wanted gone, Jose Tabata's lifetime numbers are .275, .336, .713.

I wonder if TBMTIB can hear the flop-flop sounds coming from out by the Clemente wall.

Just digging around @fangraphs a bit and found something that I'm fearful of sharing with you, friends.

Remember, don't kill the messenger...

Since 5/31, Austin Meadows is hitting .245 w/.683 OPS

Gregory Polanco is hitting .256 w/.831 OPS

Garbage. Makes you think Polanco has been hitting all month instead of the last couple games

Yeah he's just been hot for a few days. The hits count the same though. Hope he keeps it up.
