I've never understood the strategy of removing an effective pitcher and hoping his replacement can be just as effective. Rodriguez has been good this year but everyone has a bad day now and then. And there seemed to be no reason to remove Brault, who was pitching well. Rodriguez was unable to pitch as well as the guy he replaced and the effort to catch up seems to be going into the crapper. It wasn't broke but Hurdle had to fix it anyway.
