When I see photos of Cole Tucker it appears he could become a real fan favorite. I know a great personality won’t cut it, but if he can become a very good everyday baseball player, I would think the Pirates will have something very special with him.

I don't see the minor leaguers play, why I ask. I live in Pittsburgh. I see them at PNC Park. I haven't been to Altoona in years. And, No, Possum, I have no interest in the Black Bears.

Just my opinion, but I am really intrigued by Cruz. I think he could be another Troy Tulowitzki if he sticks at SS. Other than that I don’t see any superstar or Cutch on the horizon. But who really knows it’s a crapshoot

I am sure it would never happen, but if Newman and Gonzalez continue to struggle during the first month of the season, and Tucker is handling AAA pitching I would bring him up to Pittsburgh. If I recall I don’t think Jason Kendall never played a game at AAA. I would accept Tucker hitting .250 if the other two shortstops were hitting in the low twenties, or lower. In my opinion Cole Tucker is the future at shortstop.

I don't know.   The stat sheet certainly isn't jumping out at me.     Been down this road 15-20-25-30 times now since the early 90's.  "so and so is the future".    There are good signs.  Love that walk rate (for a SS).  Love the height and frame.   I do agree for sure, he's the future.  How bright is it, though? He's going to be the starter soon.

Lets see him really take the next step and dominate his level.  The way Hayes did last year.   Tucker still ended up sub .700 OPS in AA last year (at 21).  .356 slugging.   get that slugging over .400.  get the OPS over .750.   This is the year for him to put it together.
