Heck of a throw by Cervelli. Tough pitch to dig out of the dirt and throw from his knees.

Lots of walks and strikeouts, that runs up the pitch count. Just have to hope he gets through six today.
He's at 75 after 4 innings. He'll be around 90 after 5, which is probably more than they like to see from a pitcher's first start. I think we're going to see 4 innings from the BP.

I was wondering what was going on. Gameday had a strike out and a stolen base on the same play (being the third out) and then just nothing.

I'd forgotten how bad this team can be on the basepaths.

Gonzalez gives us the first TOOTBLAN of the season. At least it took 3 games. :)

Frazier caught the ball in the heel of his glove but never lost control so the replay showed the runner was out on a very close play.

Yeah, Pirates challenged the initial call of “Safe”. It was a perfect throw.

Bader gets a "single" by hitting the ball under Moran's glove. Moran never moved, just put his glove to the side and the ball went under it. And somehow that's a single.

Yep. Moran didn’t move his feet. The ball was not hit hard. Bad look.

Archer gets his 8th K on his 99th pitch. 5 scoreless innings. BP has to do their job now.
