This is what happens when you enter the season with NO INTENTION of building starting pitching depth

When you are perfectly content with Brault and Kingham being your "depth."

When you show no interest in the likes of Kuechel or Gio Gonzalez or many others.

When you LITERALLY ARE NOT TRYING to win.

Pirates entered the season with 4 or 5 legit MLB caliber starters and NOTHING behind them. NOTHING.

And you KNOW there are always going to be injuries, or pitchers who underperform. Always.

Just flat-out inexcusable.

When you need a SS and settle for a utility infielder who was never good enough to stay with the Indians an entire season.

When you need a 3Bman and settle for a combo of Moran, who wasn't good enough last year, and Kang who hadn't played in almost 2 years.

This front office makes the bare minimal moves, all based on spending as little as possible. They would prefer that their minimalist efforts results in wins, but wins aren't important enough to them to make much of an effort.

What we see is what we get. :(
