That kind of thinking puts us in dead last and no hope in sight.

Here's my response to that:

Cole Tucker is no Mike Trout.
Yeah, there's something fishy about the Trout comparison.

Dave's always fishing for something. Always comes up empty handed. ;)

In no way was I comparing Tucker and Trout. Just have to give some guys a little time to get acclimated(sorry Weenie if you don't know what that means} ;D to the majors. As for being an apologist, come on,man

For every Trout who rebounds, there are 100 Tuckers who don't.

You betting on him?

In other words, he's a minor leaguer, and you know.

I dont see how a team like the Pirates can have a patty cake hitting outfielder. Not many can.

Admire the effort, though. Has to be tough on him.

I think he will eventually return to the in field. I remember a slick fielding infielder who they said wouldn't hit. Wound up with a lifetime avg. of 260 his name was Mazeroski

Tucker seems like a real likeable guy and I find myself rooting for him. Not just because he's a Pirate but I'd like to see have a good career. But at this point it's not a sure thing that he can hit well enough to have a career. So I just don't understand having him learning to play OF where better than average hitting is expected when he's already a skilled SS and if he can hit well enough to play SS it won't require him to go beyond that hitting ability to hit as an OFer. And they don't even know if he will work out defensively as an OFer.

So you either have a kid who's a good SS and hopefully will hit well enough to start there or you have a kid who may or may not be a good OFer but almost certainly will not hit well enough to play there even if he works out defensively. As usual, the Pirate way of doing things is a head scratcher.

A few minutes ago, he was Trout. Now, he's Maz.

By the way, how long ago was that? 60 years or so. Come on. If you've got to go back to black and white TV to make a case, you've lost that case.

At best, the guy belongs on the bench.

Yeah . Tucker is a possible solid bench type player . Glad the Bucs are letting that play out this season getting him AB`s . Now they know.

They can trade Frazier in the off season for a bag of peanuts.

Need to trade or release Osuna he sucks.

What happened to Keller ?

Musgrove talks game , but doesn`t have it as a starter .Should be in BP.

This team is bad ;D

Get rid of everyone that you can . Blow it up ,again and again etc. :'(
