This team continues to just get it done. They have now gone almost 2 in a half weeks without losing 2 games in a row. Set up another chance for 4th series win in a row now tomorrow. This Pirates team definitely has to be one of the more surprising teams in baseball so far as we reach the end of April over 20 games into the season now. Nobody had this team winning 10 games this month and play right at .500 baseball to start this season.

Pirates making me eat my words again ... and I love it.



I gave them no realistic chance to win the Cahill game.



Instead, Cahill looked sharp.



So, the Buccos just locked up a winning road trip to Mil, Det and Min. They're 5-3 with 1 game to go. A win tomorrow would be icing before returning home.



Very, very impressive trip.



I'm not convinced in any way that this can last, but it's lasting so far and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

A win tomorrow means two series wins over AL teams, ones that have regular DHs. The Pirates just use a utility guy for that role. Another reason why this would be a really sweet road trip.
