True. Players that the Pirates acquire are guys who either weren't getting a chance at the MLB level or had a chance and didn't make it. "Opportunity" is the key word. A chance to establish a MLB career that they weren't getting elsewhere. And those who seize the opportunity and do well will get a chance to play for a better team as soon as the Pirates want to avoid paying them.

Bingo!



Flying on an MLB team's charter is way better than riding on Michael Jordan's bus. The hotels are better. The per diem's way better....everything about it is better.



It's not like superstars are often dealt to the Pirates.



Professional athletes know the drill.



If a team trades for me, it usually means that they want me more than the team that I used to play for. I would look at that as a good thing, not a bad thing.
