This game seems more like what we should expect from Kranick. He wasn't overly impressive in the minors and in his MLB debut he didn't seem overpowering or having great stuff. But he threw strikes and batters hit the ball at someone for 5 innings. Afterwards, it was like, "How did he do that?" I'm not surprised he's laboring today. I think this is more in line with his ability level than what we saw in his other start.

I was in the Poconos and didn't see his start, and never went back to watch the replay on mlb tv.

Seeing him now, I agree with your assessment.

Nice behind the back play by Shreve, but then he couldn't get it out of his glove fast enough and they couldn't turn two
