Stone handed fielding 1B man and a very streaky hitter. I'm glad GMBC didn't try to sign him.

Former Buc Trevor Williams signed two year contract for $ 14 million with the Nats. The Pirates Brass is still on Christmas Break until Monday. No urgency to sign anyone!

Ben Heller has signed a minor league contract with the Cubs.

He probably did, Possum, but Bell had to good sense to look elsewhere.

Charlie "Ground Chuck" Morton, signs with O's for 1 yr and $15 million according to MLBRs. He wasn't exactly a world beater for the Bucs.

He's 41 now and coming off a below average season. He had a good career after leaving the Pirates but I don't think the Orioles will get their money's worth.

That seems like a lot of money for a 41 year old pitcher. His better days have past.

Morton's stats for 2024 were pretty close to Kellers but I doubt if he can do as well this year as he did last year.

To be honest I would rather take a chance on Morton than the Nats who signed Trevor Williams for a 2 year 15 million contract.

Morton needs five HBPs to reach #5 on the all-time list. Walter Johnson would be the most recent pitcher still ahead of him.

Thanks for that information. I would have never guessed that Morton was in the top 10 of pitchers who have hit batters. I would have guessed Gibson or Drysdale had hit more hitters than Morton.
