It sounds good that the Pirates will be signing the Morel player whom the Dodgers originally had wanted. I saw somewhere that the Pirates were expecting to sign another Dominican shortstop by the name of Yohan De Los Santos for approximately 2.3 million dollars. If they do sign both players their allocation for any remaining players is about 2.9 million dollars. Possibly they only expect to sign a small class this year, because they will have spent 4 million dollars on 2 shortstops. Two other players who I have read that are on the Pirates radar are a pitcher by the name of Hernandez and an outfielder by the name of Perez who once was thought to be signing with the Mets. Wednesday the 15th should be an interesting day.
