I like Mercer as well. Dependable. He may not be flashy but he makes the basic plays and makes them consistently.

Everyone else is locked up. Mercer is the only one without a long-term deal.

Well, every team should have a shortstop, and of course there's always payroll cost certainty and financial flexibility to consider ::)
