Tucker is basically minor league insurance for the Rockies. He hit well in the minors for them and was 3 for 8 with the Rockies. But when Blackmon came off the IL, Tucker was DFA'd. Tucker will likely clear waivers and probably go back to the Rockies AAA.

Austin Hedges has now been with Texas for over 2 weeks. In that time, he has started 1 game. He has appeared in 3 other games as a late inning defensive replacement. Jonah Heim and Mitch Garner are ahead of him on the depth chart. Hedges is taking up a spot on the roster as a seldom-used 3rd catcher with phenomenal pitch framing skills that would make him a s tarter on a lesser team. Gotta wonder if he'll last the season with the Rangers.
