Keller with a good game today. Just heard Sam Howard who is now pitching has 7 walks in his 4 innings pitched this ST. Not very good. I would assume he is not coming north when the season opens.

And it ended in a tie. May be a sign of things to come this season (only hope there aren't the errors that lead to the other guys runs).

Pirates need Keller to be at least above average "number three starter to have any chance of 500 or better...even though spring, the pitching seems better, including the guys I think will be BP, as better defense helps...too soon to evaluate all the wonderful new advanced coaching analysis and happy happy clubhouse culture.

Well,, we may have the worst record in spring training in all of baseball, but at least we haven't lost them all. That is something to smile about. Just kick the can down the road to the regular season and tell us how much better Shelton and Cherington were than Hurdle and Huntington.

I'm usually the guy who predicts 90 wins but in this case for mental health reasons I'm assuming we'll be at 100 losses. If we lose 99 I'll be pleasantly surprised.

This year will mostly be about watching Ke'Bryan Hayes and Mitch Keller, and hoping guys like Archer, Polanco, Frazier, and Moran overperform and thus bring back some decent players in a trade.
