Osuna hit 2 more homers and was named MVP of the Central League playoffs. Yakult is waiting for the Orix Buffaloes or Softbank Hawks in the Japan Series.
Orix defeated Yakult, 4 games to 2, to take the Japan Series. Osuna hit two more homers to win the Fighting Spirit Award, given to the MVP of the losing side.

I see where the Red Sox released Chan Ho Park today, and that the Giants were able to pass Yajure through waivers with no one claiming him.
With deference to Contreras, perhaps Yankee minor leaguers are not all that good.

Hoy Park DFA by Red Sox. Pirates got Park in the Clay Holmes trade, and traded him to Boston for Inmer Lobo.

Jeremy Beasley, acquired from Toronto late in the season and DFA'd before the Rule 5 draft, has signed on with the Hanshin Tigers of NPB. Beasley faced three batters for Indy, all of whom scored, so that he achieved the rare infinite ERA with the Indians.
Edit: And Tyler Beede has gone to the Yomiuri Giants.
