Meantime, the cheapskates do nothing.

Is there a Pirates player who you would like to see extended? Reynolds? He's had one good year and one ugly year. Hayes? While he looked like the real deal in September, he's played less than a month of Major League Baseball. Using Polanco as an example, it's probably prudent to see how he does this year first. That's two guys on the entire 40-man roster. Not good.

Is there a Pirates player who you would like to see extended? Reynolds? He's had one good year and one ugly year. Hayes? While he looked like the real deal in September, he's played less than a month of Major League Baseball. Using Polanco as an example, it's probably prudent to see how he does this year first. That's two guys on the entire 40-man roster. Not good.

With the exception of Hayes and Reynolds, all the hope for this franchise is in the minor leagues or is still playing amateur baseball. That's not a good situation. Anything over 105 losses really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
