My how would that look today Reynolds, Meadows and Yoshi back to back to back and you could throw in Hayes. That would give a pitcher a headache. Then we could have Glasnow on the mound and Shane Baz. But no NH wanted a pitcher with past success but failed to see what ever other team with eyes a deminissed has been with a career directory pointed straight down. But it got the fans off his back to trade for something no matter what just so it cost you more and the fans could stick it to Bob! And we were getting a number 1 starter.

NH now had a inept manager who couldn't develop real talent. All he had to do was leave him along and not try and change him. In Meadows we had a guy who just could hit but Hurdle couldn't wait to get him out of the line up so he could insert his failing 5 year veteran who immediately made the line up worsel Didn't matter CH wasn't about to bring in a young guy who could hit in favor of an old veteran.

That's how it's gone in Pittsburg baseball for years.

I for one would like to have a lineup pitchers feared much like the line up we could have had.

At some point, even Yankees fans, with their gazillion championships, could piece together some pretty good woulda coulda shoulda teams. Once you throw Yoshi our there that's what it becomes. I have a Yoshi doll for Saturday loving what he's done. But he hasn't been here a month. I will have fun with it with a healthy dose of perspective.

Had the calf problem was put on the 60 day IL because he wasn't progressing, then fell in the dugout in San Francisco and fractured a foot. He's Chisenhall lite. We did get some play out of him.

They were in San Francisco. Probably LSD, thought he was on an escalator.
