So they acquired Chang from Cleveland to play 1B. He is a utility infielder with a career .208 BA who never hit better than .228.



They have Mason Martin at Indy but it appears they coveted a clone of VanMeter. Go figure.

Shelton/Cherington seem to love, love, LOVE them some VanMeter. He plays nearly every day and bats 1st, 4th or 5th. So naturally, they looked at the roster and concluded: WE NEED MORE VANMETERS!!!
