I believe it was the poet John Keats who said, "Gather ye innings while ye may."
Just as I've been saying for ever pitchers spend way to much time in the minors. They're only so many pitches in any arm and way to many are wasted in the minors with poor trainers, etc.

He was one of my favorite guys to root for though. Seemed really nice (at least as far as you can tell through the TV).

Don't get me wrong. I liked him as a person. After that home run appearance, he just seemed to falter offensively. Defensively, he was a liability. I just didn't feel he was worth what t he Nationals gave him

I wonder what his throwing is like this year. haven't heard any comments on it, maybe he just avoids throwing this season. As far as money goes I think the Nats ended up paying him what the Pirates would have this season with arbitration and that cost is one of the reasons the Bucs dealt him.



In looking at his stats he has a low oba as he walking less than he has in previous seasons.
